Team Parent Guide!
Soccer Banners: It's not required but it is fun for the team. Bring your banners to Soccer Opening Day Ceremonies, Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Central Middle School. Banners can be constructed with fabric, vinyl, stencils, pictures, etc. Most use PVC pipe to construct a frame. The banner is used when the team photo is taken and is judged during opening day ceremonies for prizes at the end of the season.
Uniforms: We ask that you come up with a system to distribute your team uniforms. The shorts are expensive and need to be returned. The Coach or team parent needs to return all shorts in exchange for photos at the end of the season. The team coach is responsible for turning in all shorts. The coach will be charged for shorts not returned. Shirts and socks do not need to be returned.
Phone lists: It's advised to develop a parent phone list for your team to call children who have missed practice or call out reminders for upcoming events.
Snacks: A team snack calendar is helpful. Parents should sign up for a game. Please keep in mind that our athletes need good food after their hard work. Please no candy or soda.
Opening Day Ceremonies: Please have your players there 30 minute prior to parade beginning.
Pancake Breakfast: This is our major Fundraiser and we need volunteers!
Picture Day: Hand out packets two weeks prior. Have children arrive at least 10 minutes early. Bring team banner for the photo. Parents should come with their packets filled out to save time for all.
